SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - At 8 AM AST, Erin’s center is 120 miles Northeast of Anguilla, advancing west-northwest at 20 mph with a central pressure of 935 mb (millibars). The National Hurricane Center updated Erin from a Cat 3 at 5 AM, to a Cat 4 by 6 AM. The center of Erin is forecast to move just north of the northern Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico over the weekend.

Tropical Storm Watches are now active for a string of Caribbean islands, including Anguilla, Barbuda, St. Martin, St. Barthelemy, Saba, St. Eustatius, and Sint Maarten, signaling the possibility of tropical-storm conditions within the next 48 hours
