HOT SPRINGS, Ark.– On the 77th anniversary of the Bambino’s death, a central Arkansas city is taking a moment to honor the legend.
According to Hot Springs officials, a wreath will be placed at the base of the larger-than-life bronze statue of Babe Ruth at 10:45 on Saturday morning.
“This is an especially appropriate moment for us to honor The Babe, since the 2025 Babe Ruth League World Series is now underway at Majestic Park, where Babe played and practiced in the early years of the 20th Century,” Visit Hot Springs CEO Steve Arrison said. “Our eight-foot bronze statue of Babe is one of only three in the world and stands at the entrance to our magnificent baseball complex.”
Young people in town for the event will be involved in the tribute to the baseball icon who passed away on August
