The Sol Blume R&B festival will not take place at Discovery Park this weekend, leaving ticket holders frustrated after last year’s weather-related postponement and months of silence from organizers.

“The festival is not happening at Discovery Park this weekend. We have no active permits for that festival,” said Ken Casparis, spokesperson for Sacramento County Regional Parks.

He added that the county did speak with organizers this year, but “by the time we received all of the documentation and information that we needed, it was just a little too late to make that happen.” Casparis said the county denied the paperwork in June.

Ticket holders say they were told last year their passes would be honored in 2025 after severe weather and park conditions forced the 2024 event’s postponement.
