Around the world, people watched as President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson near Anchorage, Alaska on Friday.

The pair met for nearly three hours to discuss peace efforts between Russia and Ukraine, but no ceasefire agreement was reached. The leaders held a joint news conference afterward, where President Trump described the meeting as "very productive" and noted that some headway was made. He stated that he planned to call NATO and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the news conference to discuss the meeting's outcomes.

The news conference concluded with neither Putin or Trump taking any questions from the press.
