The long-anticipated Buffalo Crossing project may finally be coming to fruition. The nature of the development, which originally was approved as retail space, has shifted dramatically as the latest incarnation of the plan calls for a 450,000-square-foot warehouse. Two small lots with road frontage are being set aside for future commercial development.

At their August meeting, Howe Twp. supervisors expressed one major concern — the source of water for the warehouse. According to the Newport Water Authority’s willing-to-serve letter dated Oct. 24, 2024, water would be supplied exclusively from wells in the township. The letter allotted the facility up to 10,000 gallons a day.
