As summer winds down and families begin to look ahead to the holiday season, the United States Postal Service has a warning: Shipping costs will rise.
In a movex they call “peak-season pricing” — which will run from Oct. 5, 2025, to Jan. 18, 2026 — both retail and commercial packages will experience anywhere from a $0.30 to $16 increase during this timeframe.
The prices will deflate after the “peak-season” ends, a written statement revealed.
According to the statement, these are the following price hikes you need to keep an eye out for this holiday season:
Retail:
Priority Mail and USPS Ground Advantage : Zone 1-4
$0.40 cents increase for Zones 1-4, 0-3 lbs.
$0.60 cents increase for Zones 1-4, 4-10 lbs.
$0.95 cents increase for Zones 1-4, 11-25 lbs.
$3.00 increase for Zones 1-4
