After spending three years residing in a modest - at least by royal standards - dwelling in Windsor, the Prince and Princess of Wales are poised to relocate. A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed: "The Wales family will move house later this year."

Prince William , Princess Kate, and their three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, are moving to a grand mansion nearby that is reportedly valued at approximately £16 million.

Their forthcoming residence, Forest Lodge, spans back 328 years. The couple are understood to have already submitted planning applications to refurbish the Grade II listed property, which was previously let for £15,000 per month in 2001.
