Ian Rapoport reports that the Commanders are activating WR Terry McLaurin from the physically unable to perform list.

Rapoport adds that there is still no indication of progress on a potential contract extension for the veteran wide receiver.

However, as the season approaches, he will begin to prepare his body for a return to practice, even though he still desires a new deal or a trade.

In the latest update on his contract talks, John Keim reported that he has said the two sides are far apart on value, with McLaurin seeking a similar deal to what the Steelers gave WR D.K. Metcalf at $33 million a year. Metcalf and McLaurin were both drafted in 2019 and have similar production.
