The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers will place fourth in the Intercounty Baseball League after Friday’s 5-4 road loss to the London Majors.

The Barnstormers (22-19) end the regular season Saturday by visiting the first-place Welland Jackfish.

The Barnstormers are two games behind the Majors (24-17) and one back of the Barrie Baycats (23-17). They can tie the Baycats for third place, but the Baycats own the tiebreaker after winning the season series 3-2.

The Hamilton Cardinals (20-20) could claim a share of fourth place, but the Barnstormers would win that tiebreaker.

The Barnstormers will begin the playoffs Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Fergie Jenkins Field at Rotary Park against either the Cardinals or Guelph Royals (19-22).
