SALT LAKE CITY — A Texas woman will spend a year in the Utah County Jail for ramming two Lehi police cars while trying to flee from them earlier this year.
On March 28, a Lehi police officer responded to a welfare check at a gas station. Callers reported a woman who was slumped over in the driver’s seat of her car, according to the police affidavit.
“When an officer arrived, he saw the defendant seated in the driver’s seat of her car at a gas pump, with an improvised bowl between her legs,” charging documents stated.
According to the affidavit, 33-year-old Haley Victoria Sullivan of Austin, Texas, had a makeshift bowl made of a soda can that contained a black tar-like substance consistent with heroin. The officer reported that she was drawing the substance into a syringe.
