VALLEY, Neb. —
There's turmoil in Valley as two city employees formally resign. Both voiced concern over the professional environment they were working in. It comes as an active recall effort is underway against Valley's mayor and city council president.
Now, Mayor Cindy Grove said she's concerned the ongoing conflict will impact hiring for the vacant roles.
On Tuesday, city council officially accepted the resignation of the city administrator, Cameron Gales, and the city's building inspector, Rune van der Boogaart. Gales' last day is August 19 and van der Boogaart's is Aug. 22.
