Last night in St. Louis, the Yankees got four early runs, and even though they left 14 men in scoring position, they were able to come up with the road win. The most credit goes to Luis Gil for a solid start, the relief work of everyone not named Camilo Doval, and Cody Bellinger’s shoestring catch to end it. Winning takes a village, and the pitching provided. It turned out to be quite needed, as many Yankees opponents had good nights.
