The juice is flowing again at the massive Tesla Supercharger station in Upland.

For five weeks, the station had been shuttered for noncompliance with San Bernardino County regulations because the chargers’ amperage didn’t match the amount on their stickers.

For much of that time, the 64 chargers had been shrouded in white hoods, the power cut and the cords zip-tied. The rows of white shrouds had resembled a graveyard. In an America whose national leaders are pivoting away from electric cars, the grim sight could have been viewed as symbolic.

But last week, the hoods came off.

“On Tuesday, after Tesla reported to the county that the 64 chargers at the Upland site had been brought into compliance, the county reinspected them, confirmed they were in compliance, and opened them back up,”
