With respect to the two dudes in Little Big Town, it was a good night to have a girl crush on Friday, Aug. 15, at the Pine Knob Music Theatre.
The triple bill that also included Wynonna Judd and Shelby Lynne paid tacit testament to the contributions and accomplishments of women in country music during the past four decades, since Wynonna and her late mother Naomi, as the Judds, became a leading and influential force in the genre. Suffice to say there probably wouldn’t be a Little Big Town, and many others, if the Judds hadn’t established that particular beachhead, so Friday’s show rested on a solid heritage even more than a lates hit single — which would be LBT’s “Hell Yeah” three years ago.
