Commanders make big Terry McLaurin announcement amid injury, contract, trade saga
The Washington Commanders and Terry McLaurin have taken a step forward.
Sort of.
The Commanders removed McLaurin from the physically unable to perform list on Saturday.
He's still got an active trade request, and he's still got no new contract. But this is one step forward for McLaurin.
His removal from the PUP list sets McLaurin up for "the process of getting his body ready," writes NFL Network's Ian Rapoport .
It isn't immediately obvious whether McLaurin will actually return to the practice field now that he's healthy, or if his hold-in will continue.
ESPN's Adam Schefter wrote that this move is "unrelated to negotiations."
