WALDOBORO, Maine (WABI) - A man has been arrested and charged in the death of a Waldoboro woman who was found dead at her home a week ago.

State Police say James Clark, 49, of Damariscotta has been charged with murder.

Police say an arrest warrant was issued following several days of investigation into the death of Levern Kelley, 53, of Waldoboro.

She was found dead at her home on Genthner Road last Saturday.

Police say Clark left Maine and went to Florida.

He was arrested at the Red Carpet Inn in the South Daytona area around 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

James was taken into custody without incident and is awaiting extradition back to Maine.
