WINDHAM, Maine (WABI) - Maine State Police are continuing to investigate after the suspect in a Windham shooting was found dead.

According to a press release from Maine State Police, James Ford, 48 was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Ford was suspected of killing Erin Haye, 33, after firing several gunshots at Haye at the intersection of Roosevelt Trail and Landing Road on Friday.

Authorities say that Ford left his apartment shortly before the shooting and that there is currently no known connection between Haye and Ford.
