EMMETT CHARTER TWP., MI — Passengers on an Amtrak train got stuck and had to be bused to their destinations after a train became disabled near Battle Creek.

A passenger train developed a mechanical problem around 7:14 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, Amtrak told WOOD TV, the outlet reported .

11 Mile Road at E Drive North in Emmett Charter Township was closed to traffic due to a disabled train Friday night, according to a post on Calhoun County 911’s Facebook account.

Shortly before midnight, passengers were being moved to buses, and the road was reopened to traffic by 1 a.m., according to the post.
