LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A vehicle crashed on the Clark Memorial Bridge (Second Street Bridge) in Louisville Saturday morning, causing temporary lane closures for repairs.

Louisville Metro Police said the crash happened on the bridge around 7:45 a.m.

Officers responded and found the vehicle crashed at the base of the bridge on the Kentucky side.

LMPD's preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle was traveling north when it lost control for unknown reasons, struck a sidewalk barrier, and came to rest along the side of the bridge.

No other vehicles or people were involved in the incident.

Louisville Fire Department crews responded to the scene, and the driver was taken to UofL Hospital by emergency medical services with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
