Justin Remer’s love for pop culture formed right in Toledo, where he discovered the Dr. Demento Show on 102.9 WIQB (now WWWW).

He would frequent record stores like Culture Clash Records and Allied Record Exchange along with the former Boogie Records and Shakin Street Records.

Then, after graduating from Start High School in 1998, Remer headed off to New York and later Los Angeles, where the writer, filmmaker, and musician now works as a bookseller.

As a self-proclaimed music nerd and a “huge fanatic” of the 33 1/3 series by Bloomsbury Publishing, Remer feels honored to have been accepted to write a title in the prestigious series of short books on albums.
