PHOENIX (AP/AZFamily) — Air Canada suspended operations as more than 10,000 Air Canada flight attendants went on strike early Saturday after a deadline to reach a deal passed, leaving travelers around the world stranded and scrambling during the peak summer travel season.

That includes several Air Canada flights at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. As of 9 a.m. Saturday, two arrivals from Toronto and Montreal, respectively, have been cancelled. Two departures to the same Canadian cities have also been cancelled. Tap/click here for the latest information on arrivals and departures at Sky Harbor.

Canadian Union of Public Employees spokesman Hugh Pouliot confirmed the strike had started after no deal was reached, and the airline said it halted operations.
