DUBUQUE, Iowa — With temperatures forecasted to reach the 90s and humidity expected to push heat index readings over 100, Dubuque has established public cooling centers from Saturday through Monday.

Residents can seek relief at locations like the Bunker Hill Golf Course Clubhouse and the Carnegie-Stout Public Library. Other centers include the Dubuque Rescue Mission and the Kennedy Mall.

The City of Dubuque advises taking precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses. Those most at risk include seniors, young children, and individuals with chronic health conditions.
