Hot and humid weather is here to stay into early next week. We're seeing those hot and humid conditions persist, with heat indices expected to soar to 105 or even higher this today and tomorrow. A Heat Advisory is in effect for much of central Iowa, so we're urging everyone to take precautions, stay hydrated, and limit outdoor activities during the peak heat.

Looking ahead, there's a chance for showers and thunderstorms to develop overnight into Sunday morning, particularly along and north of the Iowa/Minnesota border. The main concern with any storms that pop up will be the potential for heavy rainfall, though a few stronger storms could also produce gusty winds.
