BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Temperatures are running a bit above normal this weekend and into next week, with storms developing in the afternoon.

TODAY’S FORECAST

A Heat Advisory is in effect for much of the WAFB viewing area from 10 AM to 7 PM today, with heat index values potentially reaching near or at 108° during the afternoon.

Highs will climb into the mid-90s this afternoon, with a few storms developing during the afternoon and evening hours.

ABOVE-NORMAL HEAT REMAINS

Temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 90s through much of next week as normal highs for this time of year are in the lower 90s.
