BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Sunday will be a typical mid-90s summer day for the Deep South. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds and a low chance of afternoon thunderstorms.
Highs will reach the low to mid-90s, with heat indices above 100 degrees.
A stray mid to late-day shower or thunderstorm is possible during the afternoon, but the majority of the viewing area will remain dry.
Temperatures will remain hotter than normal next week, with Heat Advisories possible. Shower and storm chances are slightly higher by the end of the workweek.
