LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The August heat intensifies even more on Saturday. Highs surge into the mid 90s with the heat index climbing over 100° in a few locations. Many spots stay dry with only a small chance for a stray afternoon downpour.

Saturday night will be muggy and warm. However, we’ll be keeping an eye on a weakening cluster of storms that may sneak into the area by sunrise Sunday. Lows only fall into the low and mid 70s.
