LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man was taken to the hospital after a crash on the Clark Memorial Bridge Satuday, Aug. 16.

Louisville police said the crash happened around 7:45 a.m. on the base of the bridge on the Kentucky side. A spokesperson said an initial investigation showed a single car was heading north when it lost control for an unknown reason, struck a sidewalk barrier, and ended up along the side of the bridge.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to UofL Hopsital, where he is being treated for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

LMPD’s First Division is investigating.
