SUN VALLEY, Nev. (KOLO) - A man was transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds after a shooting near Sun Valley Boulevard on Saturday, Aug. 16, according to a Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

The incident happened at 3:57 a.m. in Sun Valley, the post said.

The condition of the victim is not being released.

Sheriff’s Office detectives are handling the investigation.

Law enforcement said there is no immediate threat to the public.
