RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Updated at 2:40 p.m.: On Saturday, Aug. 16, at 3:47 a.m., a pickup truck driving on US395 near Lemmon Drive in Reno failed to maintain its lane, entered into the right shoulder, became airborne twice and eventually crash landed on top of a center median wall, according to a Nevada Highway Patrol news release.

Both occupants died.

The agency’s preliminary investigation found a pickup driven by a man with an unrestrained woman passenger was traveling northbound on US395 approaching Lemmon Drive in the number one travel lane or left lane.

The driver failed to maintain his travel lane, crossed the number two northbound travel lane (right lane) and entered the right shoulder of US395.
