MADISON, (WKOW) -- The National Weather Service in Milwaukee has issued a flash flood watch for portions of east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin, effective from 4 p.m. this afternoon through Sunday morning.

Counties included in the watch area are:

East Central Wisconsin : Fond du Lac and Sheboygan

South Central Wisconsin : Columbia, Dane, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Lafayette, Marquette, Rock, and Sauk

Southeast Wisconsin : Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha

The advisory states that flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. Impacts may include flooding in poor drainage and urban areas. In addition, area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
