A passenger trying to capture a photo from Royal Caribbean's new Star of the Seas ship fell off a pier on Thursday, Aug. 14.

The boat, which holds 5,610 passengers, was docked during a preview cruise at Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay, when the "Code Oscar," man overboard alarm, sounded shortly after 8:00 a.m., according to CruiseHive .

“A guest fell off the dock while capturing footage of the ship on his smartphone," Royal Caribbean told the outlet.
