MOCKSVILLE, N.C. — A High Point man has been arrested in connection with a vehicle theft from a Davie County business, authorities said .

The Davie County Sheriff’s Office said 44-year-old Michael Dale Dudley was arrested Aug. 14 after detectives identified him as the suspect in a July 27 larceny at Gene’s Auto Sales located 255 East Lexington Road.

Deputies said a man driving an older green Honda Accord attached a vehicle to a U-Haul tow dolly and drove away while the business was closed. Video surveillance later linked Dudley to the theft, investigators said.

He faces charges of felony larceny, driving while license revoked, and displaying a fictitious registration tag. Dudley was arrested by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in the same Honda Accord.
