KYTC: Stalled semi-truck blocking traffic on I

PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is warning drivers of a traffic hazard on Interstate 24.

According to KYTC, westbound traffic on the I-24 Ohio River Bridge between Paducah, Ky., and Metropolis, Illinois, is blocked due to a stalled semi-truck.

Emergency crews are working to clear the scene, and a tow truck has been called.

KYTC could not provide an estimate on when those lanes will be back open.

Passenger vehicles may detour using the U.S. 45 Ohio River “Brookport” Bridge between Brookport, Ill., and Paducah, Ky.

The nearest detour for semis and commercial vehicles is the U.S. 51 Ohio River “Cairo” Bridge between Cairo, Ill., and Wickliffe, Ky.
