MARION, Ill. (KFVS) - In Williamson County, folks were not going to let the heat put them in a pickle when trying to find an activity on Saturday.

Hundreds of people decided to brave the extreme heat and head out for Pickle Fest in downtown Marion.

The event was hosted by Glaciers End, a specialty food shop that sources local ingredients from local farms in southern Illinois.

There were many pickled items on hand, from pickle flights to pickle ice cream, as well as some unique vendors.

There was even a pickle-themed lunch with plenty of live music and fun activities for the kids.

Glaciers End is located at 104 Print Avenue in Marion.
