The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) reported that Hurricane Erin, currently a Category 4 hurricane in the Caribbean Sea, poses no threat to Venezuela. The declaration comes after the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) confirmed that the phenomenon continues to intensify rapidly.

According to the NHC report, Erin is located approximately 240 kilometers northeast of Anguilla, with sustained winds of up to 215 kilometers per hour and moving west-northwest at a speed of 31 km/h. The hurricane's outer bands are already beginning to affect the Northern Leeward Islands.
