Eleven of the 12 local residents running for the vacant seat on Penticton Council shared their backgrounds, visions for the city, and reasons they believe they are the best choice during a unique all-candidates forum held Tuesday evening at the Penticton Seniors’ Drop-In Centre.

Approximately 70 local residents attended the event, which included opening statements followed by breakout sessions. The forum was organized by the Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce.

Candidate Jason Town was unable to attend.

General voting day is Aug. 23 at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

No other forums are scheduled.
