The Viking Charities classic car show is set for Oct. 11 in downtown Solvang — and registration is now open.

Enthusiasts with pre-2000 vehicles or qualifying specialty entries are encouraged to register at www.vikingsofsolvang.org/carshow

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Copenhagen Drive, and is free to the public.

Car buffs can expect cars, trucks and motorcycles made before 2000, as well as motorcycles with sidecars, and newer specialty class vehicles including customized of every make, model and type. The lineup is expected to feature hot rods, sports cars, muscle cars, vans, pickups, trucks, motorcycles and other special interest vehicles.
