Those six words, delivered by former Jets head coach Herm Edwards nearly 23 years ago, remain one of the more iconic sentences in sports history. The message is far from profound. In any form of competition, there is a winner and there is a loser. The goal, of course, is to be on the winning side.
While the Pirates have struggled to win consistently this year, three of their four minor league affiliates are in a much different spot. Entering the weekend, Triple-A Indianapolis, Double-A Altoona and High-A Greensboro all sat atop their respective divisions in the second half standings.
