Alabama State football held its second scrimmage of the preseason as a part of its Buzz Fest fan celebration event Saturday, Aug. 16 at ASU Stadium.

With the season opener against UAB only 12 days away, the quarterback picture is starting to become clearer, trending towards former Texas Southern transfer Andrew Body.

"I think Body is showing that he can do it and we kind of knew that, so it's trending towards Body," head coach Eddie Robinson Jr. said. "He's got a lot of games under him. He's started a lot of games at Texas Southern, so his pitch count is way higher than some of the other guys."

The offense will feature some depth at the skill positions for Alabama State in 2025. With Body now taking the snaps, that depth is starting to show flashes of its potential.
