MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office announced on Saturday that all private lands in the Big Creek, Ute Creek, and Divide Forks Campground zones have been moved out of pre-evacuation status.

With this change, there are no longer any private lands within the Turner Gulch Fire area under any pre-evacuation or evacuation status.

The Uncompaghre Divide Road and the Niche Road will remain closed to the public, deputies said.

The Northern Rockies Incident Management Team 2 has estimated the Turner Gulch fire to be at 79% containment across 31,679 acres outside of Gateway as of 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Deputies said area closures remain in effect on United States Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management lands.
