Multiple rounds of storms through Monday
Localized flooding concerns
Drier weather begins Tuesday
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The unsettled stretch of weather continues across southern Wisconsin as rounds of storms continue to move through our area. So far, these storms have proved themselves with very gusty winds, very large hail, and heavy downpours. Because of this, Saturday, Sunday and Monday have been labeled First Alert Days .
The concern is that storms may not come in just one wave. Instead, we’re looking at multiple rounds, continuing into the overnight. With the ground already saturated in spots and rivers still running high from earlier rains, it won’t take much additional water to cause problems. Localized flooding could occur where storms repeatedly track over the same area.
