STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island’s South Beach is finally getting some well-deserved recognition, earning a spot on Condé Nast Traveler’s list of the 17 best beaches in or near NYC.
“You don’t have to book a trip to Miami to find yourself on a spring break-worthy getaway,’' the review says. “Bonus: South Beach is within walking distance of some excellent pizza joints. Staten Island, sometimes the forgotten borough, is an island, after all, surrounded by waterfront that has been manicured for optimal tanning and dips in the Atlantic.”
