A Sullivan County man was killed Aug. 15 when his car crashed on Route 416 in the Village of Montgomery.
New York State Police said troopers responded to the scene of the one-car crash at approximately 8:45 p.m.
According to state police, a preliminary investigation found a 2016 Honda driven by Ryan D. Tucker, 32, of Bloomingburg, was traveling west on Route 416 at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a right-hand turn through a yield sign onto Union Street, where it subsequently struck several trees off the west shoulder.
Tucker, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
