All westbound lanes of Interstate 610 were closed at Franklin Avenue after an wreck Saturday afternoon, according to the Louisiana Department of Development and Transportation.

DOTD reported the accident at around 3:39 p.m. As of 4 p.m., congestion had reached Louisa Street.

DOTD advised motorists to take a different route.

WWL-TV reported that the crash involved multiple vehicles. Information regarding injuries was not immediately available.
