The BBC has reportedly involved the police in dealing with allegations surrounding Strictly Come Dancing .

It's understood that the Metropolitan Police were notified after lawyers initiated an investigation into the popular dance contest.

An inquiry had already been launched into the programme following accusations that two of its stars had taken cocaine.

Detectives are thought to be looking into other claims related to the show, which has faced several controversies over recent years.
