WALLINGFORD, Conn. — Another Connecticut resident has won a $100,000 Powerball prize, according to a release Friday from CT Lottery.

The winner is from Fairfield. He bought the ticket at the North Main Convenience store on North Main Street in Norwalk.

At first, the man thought it was too good to be true. In fact, he thought he was being punked.

“I thought the clerk was playing a joke on me when he checked the ticket,” the prize recipient said.

The Fairfield man usually chooses the quick pick option instead of choosing his own numbers, and the computer came in clutch for him this time as well.

The initial victory was worth $50,000. However, the man purchased the Power Play option, and the 2X multiplier turned it into a $100,000 payday.
