WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) — The Schuyler County Italian-American Festival in Watkins Glen is continuing through the weekend. On Saturday, August 16, the event held its parade through the village.

Floats and business vehicles were decked out with all their Italian decorations. Per tradition, the parade featured the grand marshals, a prince and a princess.

The Italian-American Festival is back after a one-year break. Village of Watkins Glen Mayor Laurie DeNardo said she's excited about the festival's return to the village. She talked about the importance of celebrating Italian heritage in Schuyler County.
