JENISON, MI -- As the last days of summer vacation wound down in West Michigan, kids beat their back to school blues with one final summer splash on a giant slip ‘n slide.

Eight thousand people enjoyed Saturday Slip ‘n Slide ’s return to Jenison on Saturday, Aug. 16. Featuring four, 100-foot long slip ‘n slides, the event also offers a foam pit, dunk tanks, and a toddler splash pad for the little kids.

The event was started 12 years ago by Georgetown Township residents and real estate brokers, Steve and Shelley Frody.

For the last three years, Geoff and Arianna Eckart have run the event with their national youth ministry, Never the Same.

“A lot of people are stressed out and anxious these days,” Geoff said. “And this event is purely all about fun.”
