SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Simpsonville Police Department said that an Upstate high school coach was arrested Friday for sexual battery he committed in June.

Police said they were notified on Monday that part-time adjunct coach Ceisean Jahad Tucker-Grimes, 26, had an inappropriate relationship with a Hillcrest High School student outside of school.

According to an arrest warrant, Tucker-Grimes committed sexual battery with the student on June 2 away from school property.

Officials said that Tucker-Grimes was arrested Friday and charged with sexual battery with a student. He was transported to the Greenville County Detention Center.

Tucker-Grimes is no longer employed by Greenville County Schools, officials said.
