VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 43-year-old man was rescued after getting stuck in a slide at Northeast School in Vernon Saturday, first responders said.

Fire and EMS crews responded to the playground at about 4:30 p.m. They said they found the man folded over, wedged into the slide.

Crews used fans to keep the man cool as he was stuck in the playground equipment.

After about 25 minutes of taking apart the slide, the man was freed. Officers said the individual refused medical treatment.
